Dr. Shelly Brooks was appointed as our senior
pastor effective January 1, 2007. Dr. Brooks is a
Fort Worth native and most recently served as District
Superintendent of the Brownwood District of the
Central Texas Conference. She was previously senior
pastor of First United Methodist Church of Alvarado.
Dr. Brooks received her Master of Divinity degree
from Perkins School of Theology at SMU.

Jason Jones serves as our Executive Pastor.
He was appointed to Keller First UMC in January 2005 after serving as Associate
Pastor at Arlington FUMC. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from the Perkins
School of Theology at SMU in 2004.

Leslie joined Keller UMC January 1, 2008 after
serving at Joshua FUMC. She earned her Master of
Divinity degree from Brite Divinity School, with a
concentration in Pastoral Care and Counseling, in
May of 2005. Leslie also earned a Bachelor of
Science in Christian Education Degree from Texas
Wesleyan University in December of 1999.

Robin is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist
Church and certified as Minister of Christian
Education. She received a Master’s degree in
Religious Education from Perkins School of Theology.
Her previous appointment was at Saginaw UMC. Robin
is the Central Texas Conference instructor for
eChristian Ed, a three-year online certification
program in Christian Education through Columbia
College in South Carolina.

David joined the staff in 2007
after serving most recently as Director of Music at FUMC in Clovis, NM. After earning his DMA in Choral
Music from the University of Illinois, David was
Director of Choral Activities at Eastern
New Mexico University where he taught for 21 years.
He also served part-time as choir
director in Methodist churches in Portales and
Clovis. David and his wife, Janette, have four grown
children and two grandchildren. Janette is an
educational assistant at Samuel Beck Elementary
School in Trophy Club.
Chris Johnson has served as our Youth
Pastor since 2002. He leads our youth on a personal
journey in faith and works to prepare them for life
in a world that will challenge that faith. His prayer
is that while they are a part of our Student Ministries
program, they will hear teaching, be discipled, and
build friendships that will be a solid foundation
for their faith.read more

I was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas and have been an active member of

Tanya has served as the Nursery Coordinator since

Lisa joined the church in 2003 and joined the staff
in 2005. Prior to joining the staff at the church,
Lisa worked as a staff accountant at a local CPA
firm. Lisa is responsible for all the business and
office functions of the church and assists many of
the committees in carrying out their ministries. One
of Lisa’s passions is photography, as you can see
during many church events when Lisa captures the
moments with her camera. Lisa and her husband, Ryan,
were married in 2004. Their family includes three
four-legged children at home (two cats – Rufus and
Kallye, and one dog – Pennye).
