labyrinth:
a pattern, generally
two-dimensional, in which a series of lines
delineate a pathway which is meant to be walked
Labyrinths are thought to restore a sense of
equilibrium and balance, which can be especially
helpful when our lives seem overburdened or out of
kilter. The Christian church of the middles ages saw
labyrinth walking as a spiritual tool for prayer and
walking meditation or receptive prayer, quieting the
mind so one could listen to God. After walking, many
people have reported a sense of peace, relaxation and
well-being. Some have also claimed emotional healing,
such as dealing with grief or contemplating one’s next
step in life.
We Invite You to Walk the Labyrinth
Friday, July 16 ~ 3 - 8 PM
Saturday, July 17 ~ 8 AM - 8 PM
Childcare
will be available during these hours. The Labyrinth is
being hosted by First United Methodist Church of
Keller’s Faith Community Nursing.
